Our history
Europe Marine Group has a relatively short history but full of achievements and success. Being found originally in 2006 by Mr. Ruslans Verdens as Baltic Marine Broker, it has been able to achieve the recognition among numerous clients, including shipowners, P&I Clubs, bunker supply companies, etc.
In 2015, we decided to change the name of our firm to “Europe Marine Group”, particularly in order to reflect the expansion of our services in Europe.
From the very beginning Europe Marine Group has offered professional marine insurance services and claims management services, legal assistance for ship owners, managers and operators, cargo owners, crewing companies, charters, shipbuilders and other companies.
By having involved in complicated and sophisticated cases and projects, Europe Marine Group had provided exceptional service to clients for almost 15 years. We have become a European law firm that is specialized exclusively in the recovery of bunkering debts by succeeding in a number of international arbitration disputes.
Since then, we have been able to succeed in number of arbitration cases, including one against O.W. Bunker Malta.
Europe Marine Group is pleased to announce that one of its attorneys, Aybek Akhmedov, has been appointed an arbitrator at the world’s leading arbitration centers, such as KLRCA in Malaysia and RAA in Russia. Mr. Akhmedov is also a member of the Working Group on Reforming Lex Maritima at CMI.
